Nearly 60,000 women have already signed our letter standing in solidarity with the trans+ community. Will you join us in reaching 100,000 by Christmas?

NION Women is delighted to announce that we’ve received the backing of the Good Law Project, a leading organisation that “uses the law to resist hate and bring hope”, and a prominent campaigner for the rights of trans+ people to live with dignity.

This partnership comes at an incredible moment for our campaign. Just one week after launch, our letter gathered 10,000 signatures from women rejecting the scapegoating of trans+ people. When we announced the Good Law Project collaboration, another 10,000 women signed over a single weekend – bringing our total to almost 60,000 in just five months (as of end October 2025).

Why this matters

Prominent groups claim to speak for all women when they oppose trans+ rights. They don’t speak for us, and our letter shows that they don’t speak for tens of thousands of women across the country. We believe there are many more women out there who feel like we do.

We believe the real threats to women and girls deserve our attention and resources – rather than these being used against vulnerable people seeking to live authentically. Trans+ people are not the cause of harm to women. The relentless media and political attacks on the trans+ community must end.

What the partnership means

While our approach and style is very different to that of The Good Law Project, they recognise the power of our collective. As such they have agreed to support us, providing the necessary funding to give our grassroots collective the weight it needs to engage meaningfully with organisations and individuals who share our values. This includes the development of our new website which has enabled us to move beyond our original change.org platform to our own space where we can share more of our work, connect with supporters, and drive even greater momentum.

100,000 signatures by Christmas

Our goal is ambitious: 100,000 signatures by Christmas. We want to reach hundreds of thousands of women who share our sentiment but who currently don’t have a way of making their voices heard.

If you believe that trans+ rights matter, if you’re tired of being misrepresented by groups that claim to speak for all women, and if you want to focus on the actual causes of harm to women and girls: read, sign, and share our letter.
